Love is in the air

Come fall in love with the art of ballet as Indiana Ballet Conservatory presents Love is in the Air. Love is in the Air is an in-studio performance, directed by Founding Artistic Director, Alyona Yakovleva, and is a compilation of enchanting classical variations with hints of contemporary repertoire. Complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvre will be provided.

Fairy Doll

The ballet Fairy Doll is a classical piece that tells the story of a mechanical doll that comes to life. It is inspired by the very famous ballets: Offenbach’s score for The Tales of Hoffman, Delibe’s score for Coppelia and La Boutique Fantastique.

 

Music by Josef Bayer, Piotr Tchaikovsky, Anton Rubenstein, Riccardo Drigo, Anatoly Lyadov and other Libretto by Paul-Henri Fourcher and Joseph Mazilier.

 

Staged by Alyona Yakovleva-Randall and faculty of Indiana Ballet Conservatory, after choreography by brothers Sergey and Nikolay Legat.

The Nutcracker

Children and adults of all ages will be transformed by this heartwarming tale of a young girl and her beloved Nutcracker as she battles off evil and learns the value and resiliency of the human spirit. This version is closest to that of the original Nutcracker ballet that debuted over 100 years ago in Russia, so you won’t want to miss this timeless and beloved holiday favorite!

 

Staged by IBC Founding Artistic Director Alyona Yakovleva-Randall based on the 1934 choreography of Vasily Vainonen.
