Pre-Professional Day Program

IBC offers a full-time Pre-Professional Day Program for students ages 10-19. Led by Founding Artistic Director Alyona Yakovleva and rooted in the Russian tradition, IBC’s program is based on the Vaganova method and is dedicated to elevating the artistry and technique of serious-minded students who strive to have a professional career in ballet. Students in our Pre-Professional Day Program take part in their academics before and after their daily training schedule. Many options exist for both virtual/online (tuition free) public school, private-school, and homeschool options. Graduates of the PDP have accepted offers from professional companies and top university programs around the country.

Enrollment in the PDP is by audition or invitation only.

Students may contact the Admissions Director to arrange a visit and audition at our studio when classes are in session.

Interested students are also encouraged to attend one of our Summer Intensive auditions, which can also serve as a PDP audition for the coming school year.

If an in-person audition is not feasible, students may also send a short video link via YouTube or Dropbox of barre, center, and pointe work along with an optional classical variation to Contact@IndianaBalletConservatory.org.

This elite program is divided into three levels: Junior, Intermediate, and Advanced. Students train during the daytime hours in a carefully structured program that includes:

In addition, students gain performance experience in IBC’s two major annual productions and local festivals, one-on-one mentoring and instruction through optional private lessons for international competition preparation, along with career guidance and individualized attention from the IBC faculty within smaller class sizes. This program continues to grow in its prestige, and in just a few short years is now one of the most sought-after pre-professional programs for students seeking concentrated study from an unparalleled team of instructors.
