Indiana Ballet Conservatory Mission

The IBC Team

“A ballet school should blend classical training and new innovation. My desire is to share a 300-year-old ballet tradition —the Vaganova method — with a new generation of students. This tradition has produced some of the finest dancers, choreographers, and teachers of all time and it is an honor and privilege to continue this legacy right here in Indiana.

As a teacher, there is no greater reward than seeing a student grow and thrive. This goes beyond ballet technique. We, as a school, are not just creating accomplished technicians, but fully expressive and creative artists as well as responsible, diligent, and intelligent citizens.

A complete ballet education will teach a child not only the grace and beauty of ballet, but will provide them with a full understanding of dance history, the importance of a strong work ethic, and the confidence, poise, humility, communications skills, and knowledge to be able to make a difference in the world no matter what career field one pursues.

Through each class and each performance, the Indiana Ballet Conservatory strives to help every student reach his or her fullest potential as a dancer and, most importantly, as a human being and citizen of the world. We invite you to join our IBC Family!”
